LEADERSHIP

Nick Fucci

Director
Campus Camps is led by Nick Fucci. He and his family started Campus Camps in 2015. Prior to realizing his dream of opening a summer camp, Nick was the Assistant Director of Camps and Clinics for Stony Brook University. He held that position from 2011 to 2015. His camp “career” started at Ivy League Day Camp over 35 years ago as a camper and eventually a Counselor in Training. After 11 summers at Ivy League, Nick went on to work at Hidden Pond Day Camp for 8 summer and then spent 3 summers as the Director of Kids Quest Summer Camp. Nick has his MBA in General Management and an MsEd degree in Adolescent Education. He resides in Holbrook with his wife Monica, daughter Gianna, sons Matteo and Nico and dog Cannoli. Ashleigh

Director

Ashleigh has been involved with Campus Camps since the beginning. She oversees the camp office and is responsible for Enrollments, Programming and all Administrative needs of the camp. 2021 will be Ashleigh’s 8th summer at Campus Camps. Ashleigh has over 15 years of camp experience, working at The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University and Hidden Pond Day Camp. During the school year, Ashleigh is a Teaching Assistant in the Sachem district and is currently pursuing a degree in Special Education. Nicole

Graduate Program Director

Nicole oversees our off-campus Graduate Travel Programming. She is responsible for the planning of all aspects of our trips. This will be Nicole’s 6th summer working at Campus Camps. Nicole graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood education and will be finishing up her Master’s degree Spring of 2022 in Literacy Education. She is currently a Reading teacher in the Smithtown School District. Nicole loves spending time with her family and friends and being outside. She is looking forward to creating a fun, but safe environment for campers this summer!

Amber

Division Head

Summer 2022 will be Amber’s 3rd summer at Campus Camps and 1st on our Leadership Team. Amber’s previous experience as a Prep Counselor and Office Assistant have equipped her to help staff members navigate the camp experience and ensure that campers and their families have the best summer possible. Amber is currently studying for a dual certification in Education: PreK-4 & Special Ed. N-12 at Messiah University. She will complete her Bachelor of Science in December 2022 and begin her Masters soon after. As the oldest of many younger siblings and cousins, working with children is a natural joy and reward of the job. Amber looks forward to being a part of a team that devotes their time to the betterment of camp and all the people within it!

Dom

Director of Operations

He oversees our Medical Staff, Programming, Risk Management, Logistics, Facilities, and Maintenance. Dom received his Bachelor’s of Science degree at Northern Arizona University in Parks and Recreation Management, with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership and Outdoor Education. He is a certified outdoor leader and Leave No Trace Master Educator. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, paddle boarding and playing disc golf. Dom’s strong background in Day Camp operations makes him a pinnacle part of our leadership team. He is passionate about his role in making Campus Camps a positive experience for our campers, parents and staff.

Julia

Division Head

This is going to be Julia’s third summer at Campus Camps and her first year on our leadership team. Julia is a senior at SUNY Cortland expecting to graduate in May with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Professional Writing. Following graduation in May, Julia’s looking to do her masters in Literacy to become certified in English K-12 on top of her Early Childhood certification. She will be completing her student teaching in Brentwood within these upcoming months. Julia’s goal this upcoming camp season is to make sure everyone has a memorable summer while also staying healthy and safe! Julia is looking forward to another fun camp season with new and returning campers!

Bob

Medical Director

This will be Bob’s second summer with Campus Camps and his first summer on the leadership team. Bob is retired from law enforcement and has been an active Firefighter and EMT for over 40 years. Bob is also active with FEMA as a safety officer and a member of a Search and Rescue team. Bob’s goal for this summer is to keep everyone safe and healthy while making it a fun and memorable summer for all campers and staff.

Brittany

Division Head
This is Brittany’s first summer at Campus Camps and her first time as a division head. For the past two summers, Brittany has worked at a summer camp in Southampton as a Senior Counselor. In May, Brittany will be graduating from Touro University with her Master’s in School Counseling. She hopes to find a position as a guidance counselor for this fall. She is currently a substitute teacher in the Middle Country Central School District, and is completing her second internship at Selden Middle School. Brittany’s goal for this summer is to make memorable moments for campers and develop positive relationships with staff and children.

Christine

Division Head
This summer will be Christine’s first summer here at Campus Camps. Christine attends St. Joseph’s University and is a double major in both Child Study and Speech Communications. She is pursuing her education with the hopes to become an elementary school teacher and is currently student teaching in Saxton Middle School. Christine has worked with children in several different settings through experiences working for Eastern Suffolk BOCES and Youth Enrichment Services. Christine is looking forward to working with the campers, sharing fun moments and making memories!
