Rec Program

History of Rock 'n' Roll

Week 4 (July 21 - July 25)

Let’s take those old records off the shelf. We all know today’s music ain’t got the same soul. This is your chance to learn about that old-time rock ‘n’ roll! Campers will work with DJ equipment and simulate a rock radio station and learn the techniques used on radio today. They will explore the History of Rock from the British Invasion to current artists and bands. Campers will be introduced to the instruments needed to make a Rock Band and learn how music has impacted history. This will be done through concert footage, interviews and hands-on programming that will be sure to let them reminisce about the days of old!

Culinary

Week 7 (August 11 - August 15)

What’s for Breakfast? When is Lunch? Can I have a snack? I’m hungry! These are all phrases that we hear every day. This cooking academy will give each camper an introduction to some great recipes that can be made at home for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dessert. Campers will learn the skills needed to make some delicious treats that the whole family will love. This is a hands-on academy where the campers will be cooking, baking, measuring, prepping and plating all of their creations.
