We hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you of some unfortunate news regarding our summer camp plans for this year.
Due to ongoing, extensive construction work occurring on campus, we were told we would be unable to run our camp program in Oakdale this summer.
This news came as a surprise to us. Recently, we were informed by Amity Education Group that it may “be difficult” to run, but we had developed multiple contingency plans.
We were confident that we could create a safe and fun experience for our campers.
However, just last week we were informed that, sadly, it would not be possible. Since being told, we submitted another revised plan that considered all safety and logistical concerns, but as of this writing that plan has not been approved.
We understand that learning of this news is disappointing, especially for those who were eagerly anticipating their child’s participation in our camp this summer. We share in your disappointment and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
*We remain committed to finding alternative options for our camp program this summer and welcome any ideas, suggestions, or advocacy you are willing to provide.* At the same time, we will also continue to see if we can come to an agreement with Amity Education Group to still use this property. In the meantime, should you like to request a refund, we are willing to provide them for those who have already registered for the summer camp program.
We appreciate your understanding and support during this challenging time. If you have any immediate questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for your continued trust in our camp program, and we look forward to developing an alternative for this summer that will provide the same quality experience we have provided over the past 9 years.
