WEEK 1
ROBOTICS
JUNE 25 – 29
Campers will learn the fundamental engineering and technical principles of building and programming robots to move and function. Through the use of sound, light, and touch sensors, campers will be able to program their robots to “see, hear, and perceive” their surroundings. Open to Campers entering 3rd-8th grade. (Note: There will be no academy on June 25)
WEEK 2
MINECRAFT CLUB
JULY 2 – 6
In this fun and creative course campers use the ever-popular Minecraft video game to build their own worlds, solve puzzles, and create together! Campers work both individually and together in large teams to take on each day’s exciting new challenges and events, such as various building and crafting challenges, team games and competitions, and much more. Both newcomers and experienced Minecraft players are invited to have fun and learn together this summer! Access to a Minecraft Account is required. Open to Campers entering 3rd-8th grade. (Note: There will be no academy on July 4th)
WEEK 3
3D ANIMATION & DESIGN
JULY 2 – 6
This course is designed to introduce the 4 phases of 3D, Modeling, Animating, Texturing and Rendering. Campers will learn how to model and animate their own designs and will be introduced to the technical and artistic concepts and techniques for 3D modeling and animating. Open to Campers entering 3rd-6th grade.
WEEK 4
INTRO TO CODING
JULY 16 – 20
Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer software, apps and websites. The world of technology is always changing, but at the core of these changes is Coding! Campers will explore the limitless world of Coding in this self-guided and self-paced Academy. Open to Campers entering 3rd-6th grade.

WEEK 6
MINECRAFT MODDING
JULY 30 – AUGUST 3
Campers will use the ever-popular Minecraft video game to work on a multitude of virtual building and coding projects using advanced creative tools, as well as modify and hack into Minecraft itself to add custom features and edits. Each camper will have the opportunity to work both individually and in groups to construct complex structures, contraptions, and entities. Open to Campers entering 3rd-6th grade.
WEEK 8
MINECRAFT MOVIE FLIX
AUGUST 13 – 17
Turn the video game into an exciting Minecraft stop-motion movie! Working in age-appropriate groups, bring Steve, the creepers, and more to life, as you write, storyboard, shoot and add voice-overs to your favorite characters. Open to Campers entering 3rd-6th grade. (Note: There will be no academy on June 25th)
WEEK 9
ADVANCED CODING
AUGUST 20 – 24
Campers will have the opportunity to create projects using Python and JavaScript. Campers will learn the core concepts of programming, then reinforce their coding skills while creating simulations and playing games for statistics, probability and geometry. Open to Campers entering 3rd-8th grade. (Note: There will be no academy on August 24th)
Also Offered All Summer
Video Game Design & Programming Club: NEW FOR 2018! Campers use math, logic, communication, concentration and critical thinking skills, problem solving and creative thinking, all while doing something they love and enjoy- Video Games! This academy is offered all summer long and campers can create their games at their pace. Instructors will work individually with each camper to progress them through the process. Each camper will gain a fantastic working knowledge of the technical and artistic concepts necessary in designing video games, and will receive their own finished game to bring home for friends and family to play! Open to Campers entering 3rd-8th grade.
